Roll-Off Services
If an outside company would like to offer roll-off dumpster services in Manvel, they must first register with the City, cover any fees associated with registration, and follow any rules laid out in their franchise agreement. Registered companies must report twice a year on the services they provide and the fees they pay. The companies themselves decide how much to charge for their roll-off services; the City does not set these prices. View the Solid Waste and Recycling Chapter in Manvel's Code of Ordinances.
Bulk Waste and Green Waste Collection
In addition to regular collection services, Waste Connections also provides bulky waste and green waste collection at single-family residential units every Thursday. Waste Connections will collect one bulky waste item or white goods item and up to four bundles of green waste. All bulk waste and green waste must be placed curbside by 7 am on the scheduled collection day.
Bulk Waste
Bulk waste includes stoves, refrigerators, water tanks, washing machines, other white goods, furniture, large volumes of containerized waste, and similar items. Bulky waste does NOT include construction and demolition waste. If you have bulky waste that exceeds the size and weight limitations of collection, contact Waste Connections at 281-331-0810 to discuss Roll-Off Services.
White Item
White Items include any item not measuring in excess of either two cubic yards in size or two-hundred pounds in weight and that is manufactured primarily from metal. Examples include a bathtub, heater, hot water heater, sink, washer or dryer, and refrigerator (must be certified in writing by a professional technician to have had all such refrigerants removed).
Green Waste
Green Waste must be appropriately bundled. Bundles are any items including trees, shrubs, and brush trimmings, forming an easily handled package not to exceed fifty (50) pounds in weight and which are securely fastened together. Bundles also must not exceed three cubic yards in total volume or eight feet in length.
Recycling
Recycling uses the green container and is picked up every Friday. Place containers curbside by 7 am for collection. If you have questions regarding the recycling program, contact Waste Connections at 281-331-0810.
