The Manvel Police Department invites the community to join them for a Groundbreaking Ceremony on April 3, 2024, at 6605 Masters Rd. beginning at 10 am. to signal the commencement of construction for its new Police Station. This groundbreaking represents historic moment for public safety in the City of Manvel.
Following the City Council's approval of funding in April 2023, City staff and contractors have been planning, designing, and preparing for the construction of this state-of-the-art facility that will help meet the current and future needs of the community. Spanning an impressive 45,000 square feet, the new Police Station will incorporate cutting-edge technology, modern amenities for officers and staff, temporary animal housing kennels, a spacious community meeting area, and a strategic design focused on operational efficiency.
“This groundbreaking ceremony symbolizes a substantial milestone in the story of Manvel and shows the City’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the Manvel community,” said Mayor Davis.
Chief Traylor also expressed excitement about the project, emphasizing its significance in providing law enforcement with the necessary tools to effectively serve the community.
The ceremony will be attended by City officials, law enforcement representatives, and community leaders, and will include remarks from key figures, the turning of the ceremonial shovel, and a glimpse into the vision for the future of law enforcement in the City of Manvel. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the innovative features planned for the new Police Department.
