The Manvel Police Department is proud to announce Captain Ricardo “Rick” Alvarado has been named the Manvel Police Department’s Assistant Chief of Police. Assistant Chief Alvarado brings nearly two decades of experience to his new role.
Assistant Chief Alvarado has worked in law enforcement for more than 19 years, holding various positions including Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer (FTO), Patrol Sergeant, Criminal Investigations Division (CID) Sergeant, and Captain of the Criminal Investigation Division. Before joining the Manvel Police Department, Assistant Chief Alvarado worked for the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office. Since arriving in Manvel, he has led with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to public safety.
In his current role, Assistant Chief Alvarado also oversees the department’s Special Response Team (SRT), where he is instrumental in enhancing tactical readiness and ensuring effective response to critical incidents.
