Officers of the Manvel Police Department were assisted by Brazoria County deputies who arrested a 17-year-old man and a 15-year-old juvenile, both Manvel residents. The Sheriff’s Dept. deputies filed initial charges and further charges are anticipated. Over the past two weeks, the Manvel Police Department received numerous calls of Burglary of Habitations, Burglary of Buildings, Burglary of Motor Vehicles, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespassing and Thefts that were linked to these two suspects. Further investigation by Manvel Police Department Officers and the execution of a search warrant at one of the suspect’s home in Manvel uncovered much of the stolen loot, which will result in more charges against the two and clearing over 30 cases.

The pair entered into unlocked vehicles where they rifled through the interior, taking assorted change and other items of value. They also broke into homes and storage sheds, damaging them and stealing property.

All residents are urged to lock their house, garage and storage sheds and their vehicle. Unsecured items like this are prime target for thieves.
