Narrative of Incident: |

During
a close patrol of Rodeo Palms,
Manvel Police Officer J. D. Green,
observed a suspicious vehicle parked
in front of a residence under
construction.
Officer
Green noticed a white metal
two-paned window still wrapped in
plastic in the bed of the truck.
Officer Green recognized this window
as being consistent with other
residences in the area. Officer
Green then contacted a
representative from Meritage Homes.
Terry Wyatt, site manager with
Meritage Homes, identified the
window as belonging to Meritage
Homes.
Brazoria County Deputy M. Botello
assisted with the arrest as a
translator. After having been read
their Miranda Warnings in Spanish
and upon further investigation the
suspects confessed to taking the
window from one of the construction
sites. Both subjects were placed
under arrest and taken to the
Brazoria County Jail. |
