The City of Manvel invites residents to join in commemorating the new playground at Croix Park with a ribbon cutting on June 28 at 10 am. The playground has been in the works since October 2021 with the Manvel Community Services Department bringing the project to realization this past May.
Croix Park has been a staple in the Manvel community since 1986, boasting picnic areas, public restrooms, open space for play, and now, a brand-new playground!
Since late 2021, Manvel’s Department of Community Services has been working to bring this playground to realization, but with difficulties in the supply chain, it hasn’t been easy.
Gilbert Salas, Director of Community Services, had this to say about the development, “We are excited to finally be able to unveil to the public a project we have been anticipating since October 2021. We know this will encourage more visitation to Croix Park and bring a lot of joy to the Manvel community.”
The playground is currently open to visitors, with a ribbon cutting scheduled for June 28 at 10 am.
